Hooked on Curling

Lately, I found myself obsessionally hooked on a - for me - new sport.

It all started about a year ago, as I met Anna Hasselborg when we took a course at school together.

Anna is very energetic, and it was hard not to be effected by her overwhelming passion for Curling. We quickly became friends. However, even though Annas commitment was inspiring, Curling didn't pass my mind that much unless we met up for a re-cap coffee and she shared her latest endeavors.

Then, by chance, I stumbled upon this Youtube Clip a couple of months ago and became hooked. I have gone through many Youtube Clips since then, and everything that includes Anna and her team.

I don't know what it is - the focused faces, the intensiveness of the competitions or that I personally know Anna and her shear joy and passion for the sport, or, most probably, I combination of all these things - but I have become completely hooked on the Curling game.

As my interest grew, I got more and more convinced that I wanted SVENSK to be a part of this teams journey as they aim for the top of the top and the 2014 Winter Olympics.

So, I simply called Anna a couple of weeks ago and suggested a fika and asked her if she and her team would be interested in our Sponsorship and she got as exited as I was about partnering up. To make a long story short; I'm proud to say that the SVENSK team now is an official sponsor of a group of promising young athletes, and that we'll be shearing them on to the top.

For this blog it means you'll be hearing a lot more about "our team" as they take on the world. Next week they'll be in Switzerland competing, and after that they'll take on the world’s best in China! And of course, SVENSK will be there for their support and warmth=)
